On the successful completion of the course the graduate specialist should be able to:
1. Apply scientific knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to the
needs of the obstetrics/gynaeocologic patient.
2. Manage competently all emergencies and emergency obstetrics cases.
3. Manage competently all Gynaecological cases.
4. Manage competently reproductive services.
5. Demonstrate competency in the teaching of undergraduate medical students and
other allied health cadres.
6. Plan and conduct clinical medical research competently relevant to the needs of the
obstetrics/gynaecological patient and community.
7. Discover and assess community Obstetrics/gynaecological needs in the community
and propose appropriate scientific interventions.
8. Demonstrate high professional & ethical standards in the course of his/her
professional medical practice in OB/GY.
9. Demonstrate leadership competency in the appropriate or related field of
his/her training.
