Planetary Health Movie Night
CUHAS Planetary Health Club | SOPHEA Supported
With support from SOPHEA, the CUHAS Planetary Health Club organized an engaging awareness event aimed at introducing planetary health concepts to the wider CUHAS student community. The event featured presentations by the Club President, Gladness Xavier, and former President, Cartas Kaguo, followed by an interactive climate game and an educational movie screening. The activity fostered youth leadership, environmental advocacy, and active student participation, resulting in the successful registration of 10 new club members.
Inter-University Climate Fresk Event
CUHAS & SAUT–SEMA | SOPHEA Supported
An inter-university Climate Fresk event jointly implemented by the CUHAS Planetary Health Club and SAUT–SEMA brought together over 36 students. Through a highly interactive Climate Fresk Game, participants explored climate change drivers, pathways, and health impacts. The event strengthened inter-institutional collaboration, critical thinking, and youth leadership while laying a foundation for future joint planetary health initiatives.
Psychological First Aid & Post-Traumatic Care Workshop
2nd December 2025 | CUHAS
The Psychological First Aid and Post-Traumatic Care Workshop was conducted at CUHAS, bringing together 55 participants including staff, medical students, and clinical psychologists from Bugando Medical Centre. Facilitated by expert partners from University Hospital Würzburg, the workshop strengthened participants’ capacity in stress management, trauma support, and provision of psychological first aid.
Planetary Health Storytelling & Art Event
KOM Primary School, Shinyanga
A storytelling and drawing session was conducted with Standard 3 pupils at KOM Primary School to introduce the relationship between environmental and human health. Through storytelling, video, reflective writing, and creative art, pupils learned how environmental protection promotes health. The activity successfully fostered awareness, creativity, and responsibility among young learners as future planet protectors.
